Kady is a speculative fiction writer based in Michigan. Their otherworldly stories shine with expertly crafted dialogue, dynamic emotional movement, and vivid prose.

When not writing, Kady enjoys eating, crafting, gaming, reading, and general couchpotatoing. When they do step cringing into the sunlight, they’re a fan of walking in nature, digging in dirt, watching bugs, and wading shin-deep in lakes with their fabulous kiddo and forever sweetheart.

About Kady’s writing

After completing coursework for a PhD in English Literature and Women’s Studies at the University of Michigan, Kady decided being a professional academic wasn’t for them. So, they switched gears, applying their experience and skills honed from years of critically reading, analyzing, teaching, and writing about fiction to sharpen their own narrative voice.

Kady’s stories are deeply informed by their experiences of queerness, neurodivergence, and mental health. They are preoccupied with the odd, the liminal, the marginal, the broken, the traumatized, the neglected, the unspeakable, the illegible, and all of the beautiful (and exhausting) reparative work that existing in these realities of identity requires.
